Sagebrush is native to Western Colorado and grows in large numbers on the National Monument, Uncompahgre Plateau and the sides of the Grand Mesa. It is the heartiest of the major pollen-releasing weeds in the region, releasing its pollen from August until there is a hard frost (or two), often releasing pollen well into November.
